Windows 10: Applying Themes Windows 10

I have downloaded several themes but when I click "Apply" on the theme nothing happens. No ideawhat I am doing wrong since it used to work fine. All my Windows updates are up-to-date

Windows 10 Theme not installing or applying.

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you are unable to install a Theme on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with this.



I have tried to install the Theme on my computer and was successfully able to install it. Ideally, after installing the Theme, you can go to
Start >> Settings >> Personalization >>
Themes and click on the Theme to apply it.



However, if you do not see the Theme in the Settings page, it could be possible that the Theme is not installed properly. As you have already tried resetting Microsoft Store, I would suggest you to try re-registering it and see if that helps.



Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows + X keys together and click on
   Windows PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. Now type in the command and hit Enter:
   Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\\AppXManifest.xml”}
   
3. Restart the PC.
   

You can also create a new user account on the computer and check. Refer the article

I see that you are on 1903 build. However, the latest release of Windows 10 is 1909. You may want to keep your computer up to date and check. You can Get
the Windows 10 November 2019 Update

I cant add a theme to my Windows 10 PC.

• How do you attempt to change the theme on your computer?
• Do you get any errors when applying themes the usual way?
• How long have you been using Windows 10?

You can choose your theme for Windows 10 by opening Personalization. Follow these steps to check the suggestion yourself:

• Right-click on an empty space on your desktop.
• Choose Personalize.
• Go to Themes.
• Open Theme settings.
• Choose what theme you like to set.

Win-10 themes keep changing

Thank you for providing the information.

• Did you try the steps suggested by Suvarna Govinda above, what was the result?

As I understand the issue, Themes in Windows doesn't have the options to change on its own. Only the Wallpapers in the themes can change as selected ( Picture, Solid color and Slide Show ).

I would suggest you to make us understand that if the Wallpapers are changing in Theme which you have selected.

Below are the steps you can check if it helps.

• Press Windows + I keys and select Personalization.
• Select Theme and select the Default theme.
• Select the Desktop Background below and select the Picture
  and save it and check.
