Windows 10: Applying Windows 10 Pro upgrade to a re-installed Windows 10 Home installation.

Several years ago, 2023, I purchased an upgrade to Windows from Home to Pro. I recently had to reinstall Windows 10 on my Computer due to a newly installed SSD upgrade. Upon installing using the USB that Windows 10 Home came with and supplying my original activation key it seems I am back on Windows 10 Home, which made perfect sense to me. I went back to Microsoft.com and logged into my account and navigated to my order history. I found my order for the upgrade to Pro but there was no listed product Key. speaking with the Store assistant is told me that if there was no product key then the pur

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.

 

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

 

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.
