Windows 10: Apps and features not responding after update

Hi, my computer is a Windows 10 Education Retail. Recently, I installed an update, and it looks different with a new default desktop background and the Cortana feature. After this update was finished and installed, some apps I have and some features such as Start, Action Centre, Type to search bar, Settings, all icons in the taskbar, and Cortana don't work. I click on them but nothing happens, and it doesn't respond. Without Start and Settings working, I cannot change anything and modify anything...therefore it is stuck like this and nothing can be done. Only Google Chrome and File Explorer work at the moment, all other apps and features don't. I find this problem very annoying and it makes things a lot harder for me when I use my computer. Please help to fix this issue, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Intel E5200 Gets Updated, R0 Stepping Coming Up

Intel's Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processor is getting on course for a specifications update. The chip will feature in a new, improved Wolfdale-2M core, spec'd out as the R0 stepping, from its current M0 stepping. The new stepping is intended to add new instructions, power-management features, and bring about changes in the chip-package. A short list of known changes is as follows:

• CPUID changed from 10677 to 1067A
• Power State Indicator (PSI) support with Intel 4 series chipsets
• New instructions - XSAVE and XRSTOR
• New S-spec and MM numbers
• New halide-free chip package

Due to the changed CPUID, users may require BIOS updates to detect the CPU. According to the company, E5200 R0 should be out by April 13.

• Windows 8.1 was with KMS license
• Reserved free upgrade to Windows 10
• Bought Windows 8.1 product key and changed product key via PC info app
• Get Windows 10 app not responding.

Steps tried

• Uninstall KB 3035583 using wusa /uninstall
• Restart
• Reinstall KB 3035583 using Windows Update
• Restart
• Click on Get Windows 10 icon, not responding.
