Apps Change Mic Level even if not allowed on windows 10

My friends from time to time complain that I'm too loud and if I then look into my settings I see my mic level is at 100 even though I always have it at 84. It seems some Applications can still change it even though I unchecked that box in the settings. Is there like a hidden setting I have overlooked?

    :)

  2. Is there a way to change mic levels from regedit in Windows 10?

    Hi there,

I have been using my earphone's in-line mic for meetings but there seems to be a problem. When I use control panel or Realtek Control Panel to change mic levels from 100% 0dB to 50% 10dB or any other levels, it resets shortly after to 100% but the gain remains
the same. So I was thinking if there is a way to change the values from registry once and for all. Or any other other suggestions to change the levels and keep them preserved are most welcome.

P.S. The option to allow applications to take exclusive control of this device has been disabled but the problem still persists. I don't use Skype because many people suggest it is Skype interfering with device settings.

  3. Mic sound levels raises automatically

Since a couple of days my microphones sound levels keep resetting by itself to 100 every time I open a application that uses the mic, like skype for example.

What I mean by levels: the option you find when you go to recording devices and double click the mic on the list, then go to tab levels.

Just to be sure I did a complete reset of my pc, fresh clean install.

I have a samson meteor usb mic.

I have windows 10 with all the latest updates installed.

    Mic level is too low

    Hi all.

I got a generic (amazon) camera that has a mic built in.

The video part is running fine but the mic level (sound on the other side) is not. The generic driver is up to date.

The control panel | sound | recording |Microphone | Properties | level is set at 100%

I don't know how to up the level of the mic in order (for instance, zoom) they can hear me.

Do you need information from my side, let me know

    Thanks in advance

    Windows version: Windows 10 Pro | Version 2004 | OS Build 19041.867
