Windows 10: Apps crashing that started recently?

Since the last few days the whole windows is freezing at random . It happens to all softwares, apps and windows settings. They just freeze repeatedly and sometimes they force close on their own. I tried resetting, updating all the drivers to latest versions, scannow. But its still happening

NEWLY added apps are not showing on Start App list

1. Is Cortana able to search the apps installed?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if that helps.

• Type Start Settings in Search and hit
  Enter.
• Turn on Show recently added apps in jump list of Start of Taskbar.

Edge starts then crashes

Thanks for the suggestions. The first suggestion runs but doesn't fix the problem. The second is not applicable because Edge is not in the list of Apps.

 

all games crash!

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
