Windows 10: Apps keep freezing and everything says unknown publisher

My computer has been randomly crashing the past few days along with apps freezing and me being unable to close them i even tried with task manager but that also freezes when i try to open it also sometimes when i turn my computer on it says disk read error occurred. One of my friends told me i should run sfc scannow in command prompt but when i tried to open it as administrator it said unknown publisher, also a couple of other things say unknown publisher when i try to start them System Config and Restore Point

Unknown Publisher when trying the installer(exe/msi) on windows 10

I'm using Visual Studio 2019 and have build "Installers(msi/exe)" using "Setup Wizard".

When i'm running the set.exe installer, the application "publisher" is being reported as "Unknown".

I've gone through some references and found that the setup.exe needs to be digitally signed with the certificate. So,

i have followed below steps to add digital signature to the setup.exe

1. Create Digital certificate (https://knowledge.digicert.com/solution/SO26065.html)

2. Using signtool i have digitally signed setup.exe

But in your case, the 'unknown publisher' refers to the security certificate that vouches for a software program. These certificates need to be renewed annually or they become invalid, and Windows won't run software with an invalid security certificate.
CM Tray is part of a very old program. Upgrade to the most recent version of the program, which will likely have a valid security certificate.

 

Task Manager is an app from an "unknown publisher"?

I just did a fresh Windows 11 installation. All of the most recent updates have been successfully installed.

When I start Task Manager, I get a popup that says "Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?"

I thought this might be a certificate error, so I tried to start Manage Computer Certificates, but I get the error, "An attempt was made to reference a token that does not exist."

Here are the other things I've tried:

Powershell:

• SFC /scannow
  
• DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
  
• DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
  
• DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  

No problems were detected with any of these.

Attempted to re-register all DLLs in System32:

• cd C:\Windows\System32
  
• for /f %s in ('dir /b *.dll') do regsvr32 /s %s
  

This did not fix the problem.

Recovery Mode:

• chkdsk C: /f /r
  

No errors found. This did not fix the problem

I also tried to use my USB key to run a repair install, but it just brought me back to recovery mode.

What else can I try? Is my brand-new Windows 11 installation corrupted?
