Windows 10: Apps not opening

Hello, when I try to open certain apps they tend not to open. For example, the first time I noticed this was on Epic Games but after a week it finally stopped and works normally, Netflix has not been working for a while and I got it off the Microsoft store, however today I do really need help because I am trying to use Microsoft Edge but it will not let me so I am using a alternate browser. I am trying to upload a screenshot of what it looks like but it keeps saying "Files failed to upload It is hard to describe what it looks like but the apps are open as it shows on the taskbar but the dis

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!

Can I customize the list of suggest apps in the "Open with" menu?

You can't use it to add additional programs, only to set default programs.

Interestingly for me it shows nothing for text files:








Then if I want to add a portable app like Jarte Plus to open with context menu windows doesn't like it.





It's not present and is near impossible to add even via "look for an app on this PC"
