Windows 10: Apps not picking up any microphone sound Windows 10

My microphone has stopped working in all apps even the default voice recording app. I can tell the hardware is fine because in sound settings the 'test your microphone' section is picking up audio. The problem isn't with my microphone privacy settings either as all the apps I need my microphone for have access to it via the microphone privacy settings page. help me please!?

Microphone barely picking up any sound

I have a Lenovo Ideapad L340 and use the built in microphone which is a RealTek , never had an issue with it. Talked with people using my laptop this morning, all good. Went out for lunch, came back and now it barely picks up any sound, nothing changed as
far as I know, didn't even turn off my laptop. When I use the "test" option on the mic and talk the bar goes to maybe 5% at most, no one can hear me. Apps like discord and OBS aren't picking up basically any sound, you hear a low whisper if you pay attention.
The "get help" app suggested I update the drivers, I did and restarted laptop after but it's still the same, audio trouble shoot says everything is working.

Why is my input so low all of a sudden and how do I fix it please?

Windows 10, Microphone is not picking up any sound.

Hey there.

So I have had the Razer Kraken Pro headset for my PC for a while now, I have had no problems with the Microphone since now, all of a sudden the microphone does not pick up anything I say. My headset has two separate auxiliary cords connecting to one, The
mic and the headset. Under Playback and Recording devices they come up as Realtek High Definition Audio devices. The microphone comes up as FrontMic and the headset just comes up as Speakers. The volume in my headset works fine however when i talk into my
microphone the bars to the right of FrontMic do not show up, My mic is not picking up any sound from me. So far i have tried the following. Uninstalled the Realtek drivers in Device Manager/Sound, video and game controllers, I have right clicked on The Realtek
High def Audio, Uninstalled, restarted my computer and let windows reinstall the drivers, but still no sound is being picked up from the mic. I have tried using this headset on a different computer and the mic works just fine, I can run a mic test and it will
detect my voice. I also plugged in my other earphones with a mic into my mic spot and still nothing so i know its not the actual headset.

I have been researching this problem for the whole day and this is my last resort any help is much appreciated thanks.

 

Microphone Won't Pick Up Sound Unless Close Up

My Microphone (Sentey Arches GS-4730) will not pick up sound. It was working fine Sunday morning, 10/30/12, but in the afternoon it stopped picking up sound correctly. The microphone will pick up sound (very quietly) if put close to my mouth. I am using
Windows 10, USB connected

Specs:

12gb RAM

IPM87-MP Motherboard

Intel Core i7-4790 Processor

GTX 645 GPU
