Windows 10: Apps Not Recognized

I recently bought a new Windows PC and installed some existing Storage hardware into it so that I would not have to reinstall my games. Steam seems to recognize the installed games and the space taken by them but when I go into my Storage Settings it recognizes how much space is being used on the drive, but when I go to the installed apps option, only 2 games show that were installed after putting in the storage device. Therefore everything else installed on the drive has to be opened by looking for the application in its own file folder instead of simply searching for it and clicking on it in

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

backup drive not recognized

Hi,

As per the description, I understand that the external backup is not being recognized. I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter and check for status.

• Type “Troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
• Click on “View All” option on top left pane.
• Select “Hardware and Devices” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

Photos App won't recognize my Windows Phone

I understand that the Photos app is not recognizing the Windows phone even though you can import the photos from the Windows phone through File explorer.

Before proceeding, we need more information to help you better.

  Did you tried to connect the Windows Phone to the other USB port and check to isolate the issue?
  
• 
  Is this the first time you are facing this issue with the Photos app after installing Windows 10?
  

Kindly follow the below steps and check if it helps to fix the issue.

Step 1:

As you are able to import the photos from your phone through the File explorer, follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Make a folder called "testslide" (or whatever in File explorer)
  
• 
  Put 3 or 4 images which you have imported from the Windows phone to File explorer into the
  testslide folder.
  
• 
  Open Photos app, click on
  Setting (gear symbol) at the left bottom corner).
  
• 
  Choose Add a folder under the Sources.
  
• 
  Find this "testslide" folder and add the respective folder.
  
• 
  Now check whether the Photos app is showing the photos from the selected folder.
  

Note: Try to turn off the option
Show my cloud only content from One Drive in the Photos app settings menu and check to isolate the issue.

If the issue persists, follow the below step.

Step 2:
