    Hi, i just ended up building my new PC and i got a problem with all apps installed on my secondary drive. They are opening with 5-10 seconds delay. Apps that are on my system drive are opening instantly.My specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 78003DX RAM: Corsair Dominator 16GB 6000Mhz CL30 System drive: Lexar NM790 500GB Seconadary drive: Lexar NM790 1TB System: Windows 11 Pro 23H2I checked both drives with CrystalDiskMark and everything was fine. I also tried disabling SuperFetch but it didn't work. My disc usage is around 1% in task manager.

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

    Please answer these questions to assist you better.

    • Do you get any error message?
    • Which apps are you referring to?

    Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    Step 1: Install all app updates from Windows Store.

    Check for updates for apps and games from Windows Store

    Step 2: I suggest you to download and run the app troubleshooter from the below link and check if it helps.

    Run the Windows App Troubleshooter

    App loading delay with 2004

    Hi all - I'm new to the forum Apps on secondary drive are loading with 5-10 seconds delay. :)

    I wonder if anyone could offer me some advice.

    I updated to 2004 and found that whatever software I loaded there is a few seconds delay before the app appears. For example, I double click Chrome and it takes 4 or 5 seconds before the browser actually opens.

    I have now rolled back to 1909 and everything is fine again - Chrome (and other apps) load instantly with almost no delay at all.

    I have repeated this twice (upgrading to 2004) and both times I have had to roll back.

    My system spec is : i9-9900k, Asus ROG z390-f MB, 32 Gb DDR4, RTX2080ti. My boot drive is a Seagate Firecuda 2Tb M.2 NVME.

    Any ideas would be appreciated as I would like to upgrade to 2004 again.
