Windows 10: Apps on Windows 11 crashing frequently for no reason

Hi, I have an issue in Windows 11 with apps crashing randomly, they just close, normally without giving an error message. I have been having this issue for several months now. This seems to affect nearly all the apps I have tried. Including Outlook, Chrome, Edge, Steam, X4 Foundations, Mind Over Magic, Foundation, KeerRL, Kynseed, Subnautica Below Zero, Melvor Idle, Hades. The most stable out of these appears to be Hades and I have yet to experience this issue with Elden Ring. The issue only affects the active app. I can have several apps running and only the one that is currently active will

Frequent app crashes new computer Windows 11

I bought a Dell Computer with Windows 11 installed on it in November 2023. It was fine until around February 2024 when a lot of my apps started crashing constantly. It's gotten so bad, I'm unable to get much work done.

Here's a short list of what crashes and what I'm doing when it does:

• Facebook using Chrome AND Edge browsers - crashes and needs reloading repeatedly to where I give up; this happens whether I'm just opening the URL, clicking to post, or just does it if the browser is open in the background while I'm checking email or have walked away for a moment
  
• Thunderbird email app crashes even if I'm not trying to compose a message
  
• Dropbox app crashes/closes for no reason, so my backups stop
  
• Adobe products crash while in the middle of working on something
  

These are the steps I've taken to try and resolve these issues:

• Uninstalled and reinstalled apps/browsers that keep crashing
  
• Had Dell premium support run scans, check settings, etc. and everything checks out ok, but crashes still happen
  
• Ran sfc /scannow and it didn't find/fix anything
  
• Cleared cache, manually deleted temporary files in the Windows folder, rebooted computer
  
• Uninstalled Windows updates back to before Feb. 2024 since that was about the time this started happening
  

Nothing is working and I'm at my wit's end with this mess!!

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

all games crash!

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.
