Windows 10: Apps or games are not opening when being clicked

I have just built my brand new PC and all was running perfect. All drivers up to date, all updates done. I then started to download some games and launchers such as epic games, valorant, steam and spotify. However, when i went to click on the apps to open them, they don’t open, nor does the windows explorer or anything. The only thing that opens is the File explorer but then still freezes when open. To troubleshoot, i restarted my pc and opened cmd as administrator and ran the command “sfc /scannow”. It scanned my PC and said that it has restored all corrupt files. However, upon restart, nothi

Single-click or double-click?

As the title says, do you single-click or double-click on your shortcuts to open your apps?

I'm a fan of single-click, the only downside is that often when I click on a message in de list of my mails in Outlook it can open the mail in a window...
Not always but besides that, single-click works best for me.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
