  1. Apps slide under task bar when set to left side

I have a new Windows 10 laptop and it's doing something minorly annoying that my other Windows 10 laptop does not. In both, I have my taskbar along the left side, which I prefer for a number of reasons. In the new one, app windows slide under it, which did not happen in the old. It also doesn't happen when I move the task bar to its default position at the bottom.

Aero is turned off. I've tried it with the taskbar locked and unlocked. Any clues/suggestions?

    Thanks

    :)

Apps slide under task bar when set to left side

    Set Left Button as Primary

In the Win10 task bar on the left edge is the windows symbol which currently responds to a rightmouse button click. Can I change it to respond to a left button click instead ?Settings show Right-handed (left Primary Click ) radio button is set.
What do you suggest ? Bob
