  1. Are my two PCs and laptop even on the same network?

Here's what I got. I know I'm in over my head and am a little overwhelmed with the various nomenclatures.Years ago, in first setting up onto the internet, I named something as "bullwinkle". Can't say if that's my modem's nickname, or my wi-fi network's name, or a network name regardless how connected, or what. Sorry, I'm overwhelmed. Maybe in your reply you will tell me which one it is?I have these three devices:1 a tower PC Win10, ethernet-cabled to my modem. The internet icon on my taskbar, when I hover it with my mouse, says "Network 3 Internet access".2 a laptop Win 10, wi-fi connect

    :)

  2. I'm online from my wifi laptop but can't connect to my home network

Nope, I've tried all the steps of all the fixes listed by Dalchina and Try3 but the problem still exists. The W10 laptop refuses to access my main W7 pc (named CG16) on my home network, although it can 'see' it, ie, it shows CG16 in the network list.
The only thing I haven't tried is Dalchina's suggestion about creating a shortcut, mainly because I'm not sure where this shortcut is supposed to be. I'm assuming it has to be on the W10 laptop but I don't understand how it could work. More info please, Dalchina, if you'd be so kind.

Daymin, sorry: I have no idea what you're trying to say.

  3. Laptop won't show list of available networks

We suggest checking the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your laptop.

    Please follow these steps:

    • Click the Windows logo.
    • Go to Settings (gear icon).
    • Select Network and Internet.
    • Then Wi-Fi.
    • Make sure the Wi-Fi radio button is On.
    • Select Show available networks, then you'll be able to see the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

Update us with the outcome so we provide further assistance.
