    are the windows key servers down? I am unable to activate my pc with my new key. I keep getting errors about service not connecting then when I tried more I get invalid error. I haven't been able to activate of my units with new keys today.

    Windows 8.1 pro + WMC key activation

    yeah, just don't forget that MCE gives you a new Windows key.... I had activation errors untill I entered the MCE key....

    Unable to Activate Win 8

    I got Win 8 isntalled on my file server, but I am unable to activate it with the key. Says the key is invalid. Since I work at microsoft I got a retail version from the employee store. I have been doing some reading, and to be able to activate Win8 with the key there needs to be a previous version of Windows installed for it to work. WTF, so you can't do clean installs?

    And the box says nothing about Upgrade version. Straight Windows 8 Pro.

    oem activation key

    I have a window 10 os oem version. I want to do a fresh reinstall on my computer. Can I use the same activation key ( i used in the first place to get my pc up and running) if it has been used before.

    Note: I will use the same cd and the key
