Windows 10: Are there any microphone controls in windows 10 system tray

Previous versions of Windows had microphone controls in the system tray but I can't find any for the life of me in windows 10. Almost any change to the microphone requires a 7+ step process. Simply turning a microphone on or off. Changing the input volume. Setting up a microphone also requires granting permissions as well as setting up voice-to-text (at least in my experience). Changing the microphone device. These are all things that should be accomplished as easily as changing your speakers volume and previous versions has much easier functionality here

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps

Method 1: I suggest you to set microphone as default device and check.

• 
  Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click "Recording devices"
  
• 
  Right click on the blank space in the popped up window and then select "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices".
  
• 
  Right click on Microphone and then click "Enable".
  
• 
  Highlight the microphone and then choose "Set as Default Device".
  
• 
  Click Apply and OK.
  

Step 2: Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled.

  Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled. Follow the steps given to check that:

  Right click on the volume icon and select “Recording devices”.

  Now, Right Click on an empty space and select, “Show disconnected devices” and “Show disabled devices”.

And also update the audio drivers from the manufacturer web site and install.

where is NVIDIA control panel in windows 10?

I cannot seem to get the nvidia control panel (system tray)
I tried everything I could think of:

- Nvidia driver uninstall + device uninstall + change device auto install drivers in hardware settings + clean install... no joy...
- Windows automatically installs some nvidia drivers, no matter what I try and I can't see or find the control panel.

Any suggestions?
