Windows 10: Are These Motherboard Drivers Required to Download?

So I had upgraded and then clean installed Windows 10. However now that I'm in Windows 10, I don't seem to be having the same issue that I had with Windows 7 which required me to install motherboard drivers to get access to the internet. But I already have access so maybe they were installed automatically? How do I find out?

So is there anyway of finding out if I already have the drivers installed, if I don't and I need to download them, or if I don't and no reason to download them.

OK, if you use your current HDD with Windows 10 installed on it on the new motherboard, Windows will load some of the new drivers required for the new motherboard when it starts up. You will have to install any other drivers that are required for the new
motherboard.

You do not need to uninstall drivers, they will not be loaded by Windows if not required on the new motherboard

Yes, you will have to purchase Windows 10 for your new motherboard. Make sure you activate it, then when you get your new M2 SSD, you can clean install Windows 10 onto that and it will activate automatically on the new M2 SSD as your new motherboard will
have a digital entitlement stored on the Microsoft servers

 

This pc can't run windows 10 even though i have windows 10 Error Code 0xc1900201.

Have you checked MSI support page for drivers? I would defiantly start there first. Install all missing or required drivers for your motherboard then do a windows update again to see if performance increases.

Go into the Device Manager control panel. If you don't see any yellow exclamation points, then Windows 10 has drivers for all of the hardware that it recognizes.

There are a lot of drivers included with Windows 10. The only ones not included were nVidia graphics drivers for my new card, and even they appeared soon from Windows Update. (I found it better to download the full driver installation package from Visual Computing Leadership from NVIDIA, though.) I have since set things to not update drivers through Windows update; I'd rather do it myself, and I may install non-WHQL drivers at times.

I've also updated some other drivers, but I imagine that is unnecessary.

 

Yep, that is what happened to me. I first tried to install the Nvidia driver but it failed the system check. Turned out I had a yellow exclamation mark for my graphics card device. Turned out it downloaded the driver without me knowing and a simple restart fixed the issue. Anyway, everything seems to be good now.
