Windows 10: Are they going to restore Cortana in Windows 11?

I have activated Cortana and put it back on my taskbar, but I was hoping for more from Cortana in sense of control. I am not always next to my laptop and liked having the ability of Cortana to change music amongst other things. Are they going to be bringing back more control to Cortana or should I look elsewhere for different digital assistants?

Cortana Notebook

In order to enable the Notebook icon in Cortana, I suggest you to check if you have enabled Cortana.

To enable Cortana, please follow the steps below:

• Go to Cortana.
• Go to Settings.
• Turn on “Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts”.

I suggest you to try to turn Cortana off and then try turning it on back and check. Refer to the steps below to turn Off and On Cortana:

• Open Cortana.
• Click the hamburger button in the top left of the window.
• Go to settings and click on off.
• Follow the same steps to turn it on.
• Check if issue persists.

Cortana and settings options disappeared

Have you been able to use Cortana before and have you experienced any problems with it then?
What about trying a system restore?

I would particually suggest step 3 and see if the problem still remains with a new user account.
