Windows 10: Are you able to use the old MS paint design as an overlay in your commercial ads?

I'm interested in making a small ad for my local comunities design competition and would like to use the old MS paint as an overlay in the ad to make it seem like a screenshot and that the ad was made in paint. I dont intend to use paint to create the ad just use it as a sort of border for the ad as shown in the example bellow. imagine instead of the ad here it's the details for the competition

MS Paint: Win 11 - Unable to work with overlay images

When I import an image on an already open MS Paint project (let's say another image), MS Paint does not allow me to manipulate the overlay image - like resize or invert color, etc. Neither I see the edge or corner markers on the imported image, which I can use to drag the size of the image.

And even when I try to perform the actions like resize or invert color, MS Paint simply perform the action on the canvas not on the overlay image alone.

Also, is there a way i can use the old UI of MS Paint in Win 11?

 

Can I design logo using Paint app for commercial purpose?

i am currently using Windows 11 on my laptop. I want to design logo on Paint app and I want to design logo for commercial purpose as I want to pursue Graphic Designer Career. Can I commercialize the logo made on Paint app and earn money through that and also can i use the fonts ? Does it violates any of your laws, terms and conditions or legal conditions ? I will not attach any images or designs just I want to make it from scratch just like making drawing on a paper and colouring it. Also I want to ask same thing about Paint 3d software and all other Microsoft Softwares.

my main objectives are

Creating logo for commercial purpose and using fonts can it create any violation of laws ?

We understand the concern as you are unable to use Microsoft Paint on your PC. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?

In this scenario, we would suggest you to check if you are able to launch Microsoft Paint from System32 folder.

1. Press Windows + E key to open
   File/Windows Explorer
   
2. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32
   
3. Double click on mspaint.exe
   
4. If you are able to launch then Pin to Taskbar and
   create a shortcut.

If the issue persists then try these steps.



Step 1: Run DISM & SFC scan

We would also suggest you to run the DISM & SFC Scan tool to check if you are able to launch MS Paint, refer this article:
System File Checker.



Step 2: Reinstall Microsoft Paint app.

1. Press Windows + I key to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Apps and select
   Apps & features from left pane.
   
3. Click on Optional features and select
   Microsoft Paint from the list.
   
4. Click on Uninstall. Close
   Settings and restart the PC.
   
5. Now perform step 1 and 2.
   
6. Click on Optional features and click
   Add a feature.
   
7. Check the box beside Microsoft Paint and click on
   Install.
