Windows 10: ArmA 2 installation setup interrupt prompt - What does it mean and how do I do it?

I was installing the ArmA 2 game I had downloaded as three different .iso files, and nearly halfway through the setup for the first file it just stopped and prompted me this: "Please insert Disk # 6. If the files on this disk can be found in another location, for example, on another drive, enter the full path or click the Browse button to select the path." I don't really understand what it wants me to do, and I tried "selecting" a path but it always says with a prompt again "Setup can not open the following archive file You may have inserted the wrong disk. Please help, anybody, who knows th

I understand that you are having problems installing the Arma 2 game;

Are the files compressed by WinRar?

If so, I suggest you try the following;

Create a folder and copy the three files there;

Keep the Ctrl key pressed and select the three files with the mouse;

Right-click on the first file and select "Extract here";

The files should now extract properly;

Installation media boots to command prompt

I've just booted from known working install media to see exactly what it does when booting. The sequence of events is...

1. Windows logo on a black screen
2. circling dots appear beneath the logo
3. light blue 'Please wait' screen with circling dots
4. a command prompt window (very briefly)
5. the initial Setup page appears

Do you see steps 1-3? If so, it appears you have stopped at step 4, suggesting that something on the disc cannot be read.

Does the disc boot properly in another machine? If so, try cleaning the laptop's drive lens then try booting from the disc again.

If not, make new install media with Microsoft's Media Creation Tool, either as a bootable USB, on an ISO that you can burn to another disc. At Step 8 in Option One of this tutorial you can choose between making a USB or an ISO.
