Windows 10: Arrange Desktop Icons (My Computer etc) automatically

I am trying to find a way to enable some desktop icons like "My Computer" and "My Documents" along with "Recycle bin" to arrange themselves, or force their positions. The recycle bin is usually in the top left so that doesn't matter much in this case, but when you enable the others they will be put in the first available place (starting from top left). I want them to be set right after the recycle bin and if there's anything there i guess just push them up the list. I have searched around a lot, even trying to programmatically do it, but it seems to be way harder than i thought.

• Right-click on your desktop > Click View.

Note: If you want to manually arrange your desktop icons uncheck Auto arrange icons
then drag your icons depending on where you want to place them on your desktop. If you want your icons to be aligned to the grid, check
Align icons to grid.

a) Right click on Desktop.

b) Click on View.

c) Uncheck both "Arrange icons to grid" and "Auto arrange icons".

d) Restart the computer and check if it helps.

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put
