Deleting files that need "SYSTEM" permission, and Nahimic uninstall.

I'm trying to delete some Microsoft imposed garbage on my machine and am constantly being told I need permission from "SYSTEM", does an admin account not mean anything anymore? I'd appreciate any help on the matter.

This is particularly pertaining to Nahimic and the fact that it keeps getting re-installed with each miscellaneous update. Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

Using a Microsoft Account causes more issues like this than a Local Account, but can happen with both..

The easiest solution would be to take Ownership of the files\folders in question and add yourself as a USER with Full Permissions..

Change Ownership and add Name as a USER

Select Security Tab and then ADVANCED at the bottom.

Here you can edit the permissions for existing users and\or add another..

Click "CHANGE" next to Owner at the top of the window...

    Select...

    1) Advanced

    2) Find Now

    3) Select User from list...Your user name, or any you want to add.

    4) check the box "Replace Owner On Subcontainers and Objects"

    5) Hit "Apply"

Close out of all of the open windows and start over with the Advanced button...

    1) select "ADD" near the bottom

    2) select "Select A Principal" at the top...

    3) Advanced

    4) Find Now

    5) Select User from list...Your user name, or any you want to add.

    6) Give the new user\owner full permissions...

    7) Do Not check the box "Include Inheritable Permissions From This Object's Parent""

    8) Select "Apply"...

Asking for system permission to delete nahimic trojan

Win10 1903 New update kb4524147 and msi nahimic

    Hi Toru_36

Go to the MSI website then from there download and install the latest version of the Nahimic Sound Processor

Then when asked by Windows if you want to run Nahimic, choose yes . . .

If needs be, you may need to add Nahimic to the allowed apps in Controlled Folder Access:

    Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

You can add Nahimic to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent them from being blocked

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently
