Hey there, I recently got myself a thrustmaster t128 wheel and pedal set, however the day after I got it, my PC started acting strange, I started getting errors when I loaded up certain games like FiveM and FFXIV or when I loaded up the controller settings program. The error I got was Assertion Failed, I have attached a gyazo of the full errorhttps://gyazo.com/60eac2117e579042e4d8bb20e1926ea0Has anyone else experienced this issue, if so is there a way to fix it?

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Assertion Failed! when attempting to execute mb_warband.exe (Mount & Blade:Warband game)

    Assertion Failed!

For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts

(Press Retry to debug the application - JTI must be enabled)

Hello, I believe this issue is caused by the anniversary update for Windows 10, but then again I could be mistaken. It appears whenever I attempt to launch the program. If I click retry, nothing happens. If I click ignore, the program functions normally.

I do not know what is the issue, but I have attempted to reinstall the game, delete its cache, verify its files, etc with no prevail in solving this issue. I even enabled JIT as the prompt suggested with again no debug/solution.

  3. Assertion Failed messages when trying to play a game

The game is World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions, released in 2007. There were no updates. It is a disc. After a few years of not having it on my laptop, I put it back on and began running into an Assertion Failed message. Of course, there had
been XP updates in all that time, but whether or not this affected the game, I don't know. The message says only that the assertion failed, and that the game would close. It says no more than that. The game doesn't close by itself; I have to do it myself with
    the Esc button.

I have it on my HP desktop, and it does the same thing, which is the computer I'm referring to now. My laptop lost its mass storage controller, and I'm still waiting for help on that.

I haven't made any significant changes to my desktop PC, no.

  4. Assertion Failed Launching certain games and programs

    Debug Assertion failed

    Hello Vaibhav,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community and providing us with the detailed description about the issue.

As per the description, I understand that you are experiencing issue with “Debug Assertion Failed” error in the system.

I certainly understand your concern and will try my best to help you.

I would like to inform you that Debug builds contain many assertion checks to help you discover bugs in your code as soon as it runs. You made some kind of invalid call into a Microsoft library.

When this happens study the debugger stack window to find out how it got to the assertion from your code, and study the function that contains the assertion. You can click on the line that corresponds to your code in the stack,
then use the debugger to examine variables, parameters, etc. at that point.

I would suggest you to refer to the steps given below and check if that helps.

How to use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files, please follow the steps in the link provided below.

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files - Microsoft Support

Note: System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. This article describes how
to run the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe)to
scan your system files and to repair missing or corrupted system files in Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.
If a Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected.

The above steps holds good for Windows 10 as well.

I hope this information is helpful.

Please do let us know if you need any further assistance, we will be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.
