How do i Assign keystrokes = P and then 10 millisecond delay L and then 10 millisecond delay SPACE.Basically since P followed by L followed by SPACE activate Polyline command in AutoCAD. i.e you press P then release it, then press L then release it and then press SPACE then release it.Note: I don't want to press these buttons at once, but one keystrok after another.Reference: On my logitech mouse i can achieve this using Smart Actions which record keystrokes and put them as a macro.Anyhelp would be appreciated to achieve this using Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center

    :)

  2. Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center forgets assignments

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

Experiencing issues with Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center forgetting key assignments can be frustrating. To address this problem, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Run as Administrator:
      • Sometimes, running the Mouse and Keyboard Center with administrative privileges can help resolve issues. Right-click on the application and select "Run as administrator" when opening it.
    2. Recreate Macros:
      • If the issue persists, try recreating the macros from scratch. Delete the existing macros and key assignments, and then create them again. Ensure that you save the settings.
    3. Check for Interference:
      • Other software or system settings may interfere with the Mouse and Keyboard Center's ability to retain assignments. Make sure no third-party software is conflicting with the program. Perform a clean boot.

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem. These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.
    4. Antivirus and Security Software:
      • Sometimes, security software can block or interfere with the proper functioning of programs. Temporarily disable your antivirus or security software to see if it makes a difference.

Disclaimer: Temporarily turn off antivirus protection. However, keep in mind that if you do so, your device may be vulnerable to threats. So please turn it on immediately once issue fixed.
    5. Registry Cleaning:
      • Be cautious with registry cleaning or optimization tools, as they can sometimes remove necessary registry entries. If you've used such tools recently, it could have affected the Mouse and Keyboard Center's functionality.
    6. Reinstall Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center:
      • As a last resort, you can uninstall the Mouse and Keyboard Center, then download and reinstall it from the official Microsoft website.
    7. Test on another computer to see if the same problem exists.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Thank you.

    Best regards

How to assign a Button/Gesture on a Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse that simulates the Back button on a regular mouse.

Using the Mouse and keyboard software you have to pick the button you want to use and create a micro for the action. Creating a micro is actually the keyboard strokes you would use to perform the action.

alt left arrow is back, alt right arrow is forward. Then you assign it to the program you want.

    explorer.exe iexplore.exe MicrosoftEdge.exe

I use it to for my Wireless mouse, wheel button, in IE. Click a link on a page with a wheel click and it opens the link in a new tab

    Microsoft Habu

Apparently, people haven't been so happy with the mouse right out of the box, and installing the new drivers AND firmware (yes, this mouse needs firmware updates) is a hassle. The Microsoft Habu mouse has issues, and (unfortunately) only Microsoft has the answers.

People really should test the claims on the box when writing a review. For example, while you can reprogram all the various mouse buttons, games may not recognize the new assignments, even if they are simple, single key presses. While Windows business applications will recognize my new assignments (Page Up & Page Down) for buttons 4 & 5, no game will see the buttons at all. Even Logitech managed to get games to recognize key presses assigned to mouse buttons.

One thing is certain, however: It's a very smooth mouse. In games, you can immediately tell the difference between this mouse and other "gaming" mice, probably because the interpolling rate can be set as high as 1000 Hz.
