    I am installing a software package that requires full rights to a local workstation folder. The folders is:"C:\Program Files x86\Enterprise Print Management Solutions\E4 Eclipse\temp" Each workstation requires this to run the programEasy to make a domain group and add users.What I need to know is how can I assign the rights from the domain group to the local workstation instead of manually touching each machine to assign the rightsAny help would be greatly appreciatedAndy

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and reset the password for the local account and check.


    • Login in to your Microsoft account.

    • Press Windows logo key + X key.

    • Select Computer Management.

    • Click on Local user and group.

    • In the right window pane, double click on user’s folder.

    • Right click on local user account and select set password and follow the on screen instructions.

    Hello Frank, and welcome to Ten Forums. Assign Rights to a local folder from a domain group :)

    If you have the Windows 10 Home edition, then it will not have Local Users and Groups (lusrmgr.msc) included in it. It's only available in the Pro and Enterprise editions instead.

    If you like, you could use step 3 in OPTION THREE of the tutorial below list users in a group.

    admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

    Hi guys,

    I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
    I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

    Any suggestions?

    EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.
