Windows 10: Assigned access user can't get past lock screen.

Hello,


I'm trying to setup a WIN10 20H2 system as a kiosk but when I try to login with the assigned access account it will not move past the lock screen. In the administrator account I can see that the kiosk account is logged in, but it stays on the login screen and never displays Edge.

Assigned Access to another user in windows 10 vs windows 8.1

Why Assigned access for another user in windows 10 is NOT much good as compared to windows 8.1.

i compared both of them

assigned access in windows 8.1 is full of amazing featutes as compared to windows 10.

for example:

in windows 10 only one store app can be added in list of assigned access,more then 1 apps are not allowed.

web filter is not available in assigned access of windows 10

like these much more features are missing in windows 10 that are avalable in windows 8.1

i think windows 8.1 is much better then windows 10 for multi users

 

Switch user from lock screen

I understand that you want to switch user from lock screen. I’ll certainly help you with the steps.



Once you lock the computer, to switch from one user account to another from the lock screen, select the user name from the list of available users at the bottom left of the sign-in screen, enter the credentials to sign-in.

• When did the issue start?

Saturday there was a major upgrade installed on the computer in windows 10.

• Were there any changes made on your computer prior to this concern?

The problem started after the upgrade.

• What exactly happens when you're trying to access your computer from your lock screen?

Previously I was able to click on my mouse and I was able to immediately access the windows that I had open.

• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

I tried to reset the lock screen settings but I have not been able to solve this issue. I checked as many different options as I could but found no answers. The only way to access the screen is to use control
alt delete which then opens up the windows
