Windows 10: ASUS adds an inverted notch to get its laptop bezels even thinner

At CES 2019, ASUS unveiled a new flagship laptop with the world’s thinnest display bezels. ASUS ZenBook S13 comes with a revered notch which reduces the bezels without harming the user experience.

ASUS ZenBook S13 (UX392FN), a Windows 10 device with thinnest display bezels sports a 13.9-inch IPS display. The resolution of the 2-in-1 flagship device from ASUS is 1920×1080 pixels and it comes with 400 nits brightness.

ASUS’s laptop with small bezels has a revered notch which holds the front-facing features like the webcam. The company has modified the idea of the notch which is popular in the smartphone market to improve the experience.

Unlike the notch found on smartphones, the ZenBook’s revered notch is not eating up screen space. The implementation of inverted notch allowed ASUS to reduce the bezels in a way that doesn’t remove the web camera or impact the screen-to-body ratio by any means.

The ZenBook S13 is a powerhouse and it comes with up to Intel Core i7-8565U processor. The 2-in-1 flagship device is paired with up to 16GB DDR3 memory and 1TB SSD storage.

The performance is pretty good as the device is only offered with SSD storage which ensures a major performance gain versus the traditional HDD option.

Problems laptop charging through power inverter

So i used to drive a cab with a little netbook. Had a 150w power inverter for it. It ran fine. I startes truck driving now and my laptop wouldnt charge through the inverter. I tried it on an outlet and it charged fine. I bought a 300w power inverter thinking the old one went bad, but nope. Same problem. These trucks can power a minifridge and a microwave but cant charge a little netbook? The power inverter turns on and the usb ports give power. But the laptop wont draw power from it. Anyone have any clues? Cuz i know the power inverter is more than strong enough, the laptop charger works. Im completely out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't see an option in regards to inverted scrolling in that list, it is just a guide.

do you have any other suggestions?

 

Loose metal screen bezel

The metal bezel has spring-like properties, so if usage/drops cause it to flex out, you simply need to flex it in a bit beyond normal in order to restore its true/original shape.If you're not too risk-averse (and willing to void your warranty), you might
try this:

• Watch this N900 disassembly video: http://www.tehkseven.net/news/nokia-news/nokia-n900-disassembly/
• Disassemble your N900 until you've got the metal bezel off
• 'Pinch' the bezel a bit: press the top & bottom edges inward just enough so that when re-assembled, they expand to flush with the plastic body
• re-assemble N900
