Windows 10: ASUS armory crate software does not work at all . Windows 11 does not allow asus...

Just some more windows 11 problems I have RGB LEDS that I would like to control on ASUS motherboard system Z690-Z790 . Asus provides ARMORY CRATE software .This software does not work AT ALL . Click and nothing happens .Device manager shows missing drivers checkmarks all over the place for PCIE devices , RAID devices , etc . I have the driver CD .Problem is windows 11 does not allow any of them to install . Further problem is windows 11 does not supply OR EVEN SUGGEST any useful alternatives .The system in question had windows 11 installed 2 months ago . I perform disk cleanup on a routine b

How to prevent Windows from overriding Asus Armory crate's power plan mode?

Welcome to Microsoft Community and hope you are doing well.

This seems to be a unique software product from ASUS so I have little knowledge about it. If you wanna prevent Windows from overriding Asus Armory Crate’s power plan mode, you can try the following:

Set the power plan to Balanced Mode instead of High Performance Mode in Windows Power Options. Maybe in this way, Windows wonnot interfere with the Asus Armory Crate’s ROG operating mode.

Try to energy-saving mode in the Armory Crate app settings instead of high-performance mode if you are playing games.

Open the Armoury Crate app and go to the Profile Settings tab > Select the ‘Windows’ option for both AC and DC modes. You need to create a scenario profile that has your games or applications linked to it and set the Armoury Crate mode to ‘Performance’ or ‘Turbo’ as per your preference.

Since this app is not from Microsoft I can't reproduce your problem so I recommend that you go to the ASUS official website or related forums to post your questions and seek further consultation.

Secrets to get ASUS Armoury Crate to run successfully?

I just built a new PC using an Asus Z790 board. I consulted a few forums and was advised not to install any Asus bloatware especially Armory Crate. Note there is a BIOS option best disabled to prevent it being installed automatically. I just review the Asus site periodically for any new drivers and BIOS updates.

 

Armoury Crate reinstall & Windows 11

I had an issue with Armoury Crate software that controls fan profiles of my ASUS laptop and the only way to install it again was to uninstall AC using ASUS official uninstaller which I duly did. Re-installed and everything worked perfectly. I followed the steps provided by ASUS, (How to Cleanly Uninstall and Reinstall Armoury Crate) and the laptop configuration works like it used to, but I am worried that I shouldn’t have done this and will it affect the smooth operation of Windows 11? Many thanks.

I have checked the reliability checker and can see all the devices and drivers were uninstalled and then reinstalled on restart.
