This only occurs when I walk away or occasionally shut down the computer. Only when is idle it occurs so I don't really see what is triggering it. A few times it comes up asking me to restore my account, requiring a Microsoft sign in which it either doesn't accept or the keyboard refuses to work to type. Eventually, after unplugging peripherals and power and hard reset it eventually comes back and then doesn't reoccur for hours until I repeat the scenario, and leave it idle. I have the DMP file but I don't see a way to attach it in this question.

    :)

    BAD_POOL_HEADER BSOD, Dump File attached

    Hi Groggubus,

Welcome to the 10forums Asus computer regularly gets BSOD attached the dump and specc :)

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Please follow this suggestion for the BSOD
    1. Please open BitDefender and go to the modules,
    2. Go to the firewall settings,
    3. Uncheck 'Block port scans in the network',
    4. Reboot your system <-- IMPORTANT

PC reboots regularly with no warning - no BSOD

Still the question remains why driver verifier was used, a dump or a few dumps contain in most cases enough for a different step than driver verifier.

If you indeed had multiple BSOD crashes, I would want you to upload a zip from the DM Log Collector so the dumps can be analyzed, a single dump is than inappropriate to suggest something properly.
