Windows 10: Asus laptop no longer accepting thumbprint, do not remember pin or password. Any advice to...

I bought this laptop about 3 years ago and have always used my thumbprint to sign in. Out of nowhere it wouldnt take it and said i needed my pin. Well i dont remember it.

Under sign in options it gives no option for forgot pin but it does for password. Unfortunately i cant seem to get the 3 security questions right. The thumbprint option has reappeared but it keeps stating i require a pin to sign in. I booted to safe mode to see if i could restore to an earlier date and it requires my password there as well. I have files on here related to my business although most are on my Google Drive there are some that are not so hoping to get in. Any advice is appreciated.

I should also note i think its a local account? It just says Hello "First name Last name" and ive logged into my two microsoft accounts and changed password neither effected the sign in to the laptop. It is possible i had a third Microsoft account but i have no idea how to find that out and if its connected to the laptop.

Locked out of ASUS laptop; will not accept my local password

After installing new BIOS Flash Update on my ASUS laptop, using the ASUS Automatic Updater, my local password is no longer accepted. Getting error message "Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Choose another sign in option and set up your PIN
again..." I click on sign in options, click on the key symbol and enter the local password I have always used on this laptop. Then I get the message "The password is incorrect. Try again"

I don;t remember ever setting up a PIN for this laptop, and I do not have a password reset disc or flash drive, and cannot locate the administrator password. Am I totally out of luck?

I upgraded to Windows 10 on this computer when Microsoft was asking people to do so; it did not come with Windows 10, as I recall.

 

Widows 10 on laptop won't accept password or pin

After an update of some sort yesterday (3/18/16) Windows 10 will no longer accept the logon password or pin which was used since original installation several months ago. A suggested web address to reset password displayed as account.live.com/password/reset
. When this was entered in the Google address bar it appeared to be followed by several cyrillic characters so maybe the "update" was a hack. How can I get past the logon screen to get access to this laptop computer?

After the latest Windows 10 critical update, my Microsoft password and pin number (which I use to sign in to my laptop) are no longer accepted and therefore I'm locked out.

I have signed into my Microsoft account successfully on this additional laptop. Can you please assist me in recovering it?
