Windows 10: Asus Laptop stuck in repair mode, says admin password is incorrect

  1. Asus Laptop stuck in repair mode, says admin password is incorrect


    I have changed my admin password many times and still nothing. I updated my laptop like normal, restarted it after the update like usual, it booted up normally then I got hit with the blue screen "Something went wrong, system will automatically restart :" and so it did. Then I got hit with "Preparing Repair Mode" and it went in just fine. I went to do startup repairs and boom, need admin password. I type in my password and get "Incorrect password, try again".The password was correct, caps lock was not on, number lock was not on. I do not know what else to do as this was a 2000$+ laptop an

    admin password?

    You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.

    ok changed added admin password for d in safe mode!
    Ok, now this is weird: XP repair will not accept my new password! WTF?

    ok mever had an admin password.. so I safe moded it, added one and the stupid xp instal/repair failed the repair AGAIN! I HATE XP! ok, where is my xista? lol
    Seriously this sucks, I cannot get my old system to work on the new board.. and the repair is failing ? an7y thoughts?

    ok I think there are two passwords, one for each HD.. sucks as I cannot accexx the other drive in safe mode.. well thats the goal
