Windows 10: Asus/microsoft zen duo UX581lv

I ordered an ASUS zen duo from Microsoft on Feb 7th last for delivery on Feb 10th. It arrived on March 31st. I now find it runs a non standard ASUS version of Windows 10 home which cannot be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and, if you do load a standard version of Windows 10 Home, there is no brightness control on the 2nd screen which is so dim as to be illegible. Further, the ASUS version of Windows 10 home is wildly out of date in terms of security updates seeming to demand I use Macafee which, to my mind, is much inferior to the current defender.

What do I do now? Will Microsoft implement a standard version of Windows 10 pro which runs on the ASUS machine? Should I return as a useless and very expensive bit of male jewellery , if someone can tell me how?
