Windows 10: Asus Nitro 5 Mouse Pad faulty.

It always happens like at least once a day ill be using my mouse pad and after a random click it stops. My driver is updated, and I've toggled the mousepad on and off key like a hundred times hoping that when i turn it on it will return functionality. But the only thing that actually works is clicking frantically all over the mouse pad until it works and obviously this isn't a great fix. Because of the inconsistency/profit based society with any search engine I cant find out if there is a "Sweet spot" on the mouse pad that deactivates it. This horribly inconvenient design is the only explanation to why the mouse would stop working after a click. a big " Cheeses Fricking Rice" to the person that designed that on this device that has a symbolized key just for that function, I still love you, I'm just disappointed that you would make it so easy to do by accident like you maliciously planned to frustrate someone. Anyway yeah if anyone knows the answer to the sweet spot thing so i don't have to hammer my laptop until it works again that would be lovely

I have a Asus laptop computer, Mod. number X53E. I have tried everything suggested to disable my touch pad mouse but none of the suggestions have help me disable it. Help.

After I downloaded and installed Microsoft 10 I have not been able to turn off my touch pad. I use an external mouse and with the mouse pad on it creates issues when I try to type emails and memos.

My function key works with everything except the function to turn off my touch pad. I have gone to device mgr and nothing. This is really frustrating.

Any suggestions? I

Please reply: What happens when you try disabling the mouse pad? Do you receive any error message?

You can also disable your mouse pad by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right-click on the Mouse driver and click on Disable.
• A prompt will appear, click yes.

I would also suggest you update the driver from the device manager.
