    Hi,I am running Windows 10 Home Version 21H1 build 19043.1348 with an Nvidia GeForce GTX1660 card. In the past, the system would correctly show my monitor as ASUS PA238QR; however, now, it only shows as Generic Monitor Plug & Play. I need to perform some calibrations to correct some display issues. How can I have the system recognize it again and adjust the colour profiles? On the Asus website, there are no drivers for Windows 10, and the available ones will not work.Thank you.

    Hi,

    I am running Windows 10 1703 build 15063.726 64bit, with an ATI4800 card. In the past, the system would correctly show my monitor as PA238 however now it only shows Generic Monitor Plug & Play. I need to perform some calibrations as the print quality of
    colors on my Epson Stylus Photo TX800FW is unsatisfactory.

    How can I have the system recognize it again and adjust color profiles? On the Asus website there are no drivers for Windows 10.

    Hi Raymond,

    thank you for your support with this issue. It worked!

    I did try to uninstall the hardware before, as well as to look for updated drivers, however, Asus doesn't provide any driver for this monitor for Windows 10, so after a system restart, it went back to Generic Monitor Drivers.

    After the windows update you suggested, my system recognized "PA238" again.

    I can now start to work on the color discrepancies I see between my prints and my monitor.

    Hi Federico,

    A recent update of the operating system is one of the possible causes why it does recognize "Generic PnP Monitor" instead of PA238. To isolate your concern, kindly answer the following:

    • Did you make any recent hardware of software changes to your computer?
    • Did you try to press the Roll Back Driver ribbon under the properties of the driver? It might help us go back to PA238.
    • Did you try to uninstall the generic driver and reinstall the PA238 driver to see if the issue persists?

    Meanwhile, we do have the latest update for Windows 10 Version 1703 which is Build 15063.729. Kindly download and install this update and then uninstall and reinstall your monitor driver. Let's see if the same behavior occurs. You may refer to this
