Windows 10: ASUS Q503UA - Cracked screen, missing touchscreen drivers?

I bought this laptop with a cracked screen and the touchscreen drivers were present but the touchscreen feature wasn't functioning. I think I might have deleted the drivers by mistake when attempting to update them. If I fix the screen, will I be able to get the drivers for the touchscreen and get the screen to work again?

I understand that the Touchscreen for your laptop is not working. I’ll help you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• When you say, “Touchscreen No longer works after full restore” did you perform a factory reset or a system restore?
  
• When you say, “On device manager it only shows the HID touch screen "ghosted".” do you see the HID touch screen device as a hidden device?
  
• Do you see any error message/code for the touch screen device in Device Manager?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

If you see the HID touch screen device as a hidden device, I would suggest you to try updating the drivers for the device. To update the drivers, right click on the device and select
Update Driver. Also, make sure that there are no disabled devices in Device Manager. If you find any, please enable it and check.



In the computer manufacturer website (under Others), I see that there is an Intel
Integrated Sensor Solution available, you may want to try downloading it and check if that helps.



I also see there is a BIOS update available in the computer manufacturer’s website. You may also want to check the BIOS update. However, we recommend that you check with your motherboard manufacturer regarding BIOS update.



Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting
from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Touchscreen stopped working -driver missing from laptop

There are several ways to resolve touchscreen issues such us updating the driver, installing available updates or downloading the driver from its manufacturer website. For us to isolate the issue, we would like to ask the following questions:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• What is the build and version of your Windows?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
