Windows 10: Asus says “You’re connected using a virtual network adapter that we can’t test”.

says “You’re connected using a virtual network adapter that we can’t test”. What do I do about this? I've tried the network reset and restart already, still the same thing.

I did windows update yesterday, and today when getting on computer, I have no way to connect to internet and get the message “You’re connected using a virtual network adapter that we can’t test”

I’ve read through other forums and done the things suggested. I’ve done a factory install on the computer and nothing is working.

You can try few troubleshooting steps mentioned below:

Run Network Troubleshooter

- Open the "Settings" app, then go to "Update > Security" > "Troubleshoot."

- Select "Internet Connections" and run the troubleshooter to see if it resolve the issue.

Restart the Virtual Network Adapter

- Open Device Manager > Expand the "Network adapters" section and look for the virtual network adapter.

- Right-click on the virtual network adapter and select "Disable," then wait a few minutes. Then right click and enable it again.

Update or Reinstall the Virtual Network Adapter Driver

- In Device Manager, right-click on the virtual network adapter and select "Update driver."

- Select search automatically to update the driver. If a new driver is found, follow the prompts to install it.

- If updating the driver doesn't work, you can also try uninstalling the virtual network adapter driver and then restarting your computer to allow it to reinstall automatically.
