Windows 10: Asus Transformer completely dead after latest 996 update

Computer crashed in the middle of retrieving files from my NAS. Loud buzzing noise from speakers - then blue screen. Will not reboot, just crashes in middle of boot. Then after multiple reboot attempts its starts a disc check and fix - which just resulted in the boot process failing even earlier. Finally almost every boot attempt just shows a black screen - no rotating dots. Sometimes it tells me its starting a Bitlocker recovery - but never allows me to enter the Bitlocker code - it just crashes to a blue screen again. And it has the cheek to tell me that "we'll restart your computer for you". Of course it just sits there - dead. This computer worked perfectly before - now it is completely dead. I've just bought an Android to replace it. So angry with Microsoft ruining a perfectly good computer.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows Updates broke my Asus transformer keyboard

I recently ran the latest windows update on my ASUS transformer laptop and immediately after my keyboard stopped working. The touchpad doesn't work at all and likewise the keys. The Caps lock and F2 button flash.

I assume this has something to do with the update as it was working fine up until the latest update was installed.

What can be done to fix it?

I wanted to inform you at model Asus Transformer T100TA did not do exactely as the list stated, but it worked out to install the intel hot fix package that fixed the problem as the other drivera were already installed.
