Windows 10: ASUS vivobook X510U reset menu not showing up after pressing f9 or shift while restarting....

There are extremely freqent blue screen errors occuring from one week. Oncci tried resetting it keeping my files but it stuck in the middle and after few hours i had to interrupt the process and i pressed the power button for a while and it restarted. Now blue scren error is not even letting me enter into settings and reset it. But i can't access the reset menu from screen lock process or f9 process. Is there any other thing i can do beside giving up ?

asus vivobook x510u finger print reader or sensor and sleep mode button isn't responsive after update.

My fingerprint on asus vivobook x510u stop working after the update, i have tried re-installed and updated the driver but the problem still persist. Please don,t ask me to format my laptop as it is always the 'easy' solution answer., i already fomated.

Before we proceed, I would like you to provide the information stated below:

What are the troubleshooting steps that you have perform other than the one that you mentioned in your post?

I would suggest that you perform the methods that are mentioned below and check if it helps.

Method 1:

• On the search bar type Power Options.
• Click on Power Options. On the left, click on
  Choose what the Power Button Does
• Click on the drop down menu for Choose what the Power Button Does and choose "Sleep"
  .

Method 2: I suggest you to run in-built Power troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting on the left pane, click on
  View All.
• Click on Power to run the troubleshooter.

Method 3: If the above method doesn’t help, I would suggest you to
reset and restore all of the default Power Plans back with their default settings. Follow the steps.

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Select Command Prompt (Admin).
• At the command prompt, type powercfg -restoredefaultschemes, and then press
  ENTER.
• At the command prompt, type exit to exit the Command Prompt window.
• Restart the computer and check with the issue.

You can reset your password following the next steps:

• Reboot your computer / Turn your computer on.
• Hold down the Shift key at the start of the boot process to enable the GNU GRUB boot menu (if it does not show)
• Press ESC at the GNU GRUB prompt.
• Press e for edit.
• Use the Arrow keys to highlight the line that begins with kernel and press the e key.
• Go to the very end of the line and add rw init=/bin/bash
• Press Enter and then press b to boot your system.
• Your system will boot up to a passwordless root shell.
• Type in passwd yourusername
• Set your new password.
• Restart your system.
