Windows 10: ASUS Windows 11 crashes when connected to external monitor

My ASUS laptop crashes when I am connected to an external monitor and running graphic heavy programs like Unreal Editor. Sometimes it crashes when I am just browsing the web. It never crashes when not connected to the external monitor. ASUS Vivobook, Windows 11 connected to TCL TV/Monitor. The event log gives an error ID of 41. Kernel = Power. I've tried setting monitor to different resolutions and I have updated all drivers.

Windows 10 upgrade: can no longer connect to an external monitor

As you have tried most of the troubleshooting steps, let us know the following to assist you better:

• What exactly happens when you try to connect to the external display?
• Were you able to see the light on the external monitor (Tuned on/ not)?
• Is there any error message with this issue?

Step 1: As this may look very silly, I suggest you to check if the turned on or not, if it is on let us know the color of the light displayed.

Step 2: I suggest you to remove all the external devices except mouse and keyboard and try to perform clean boot to check if there is any issue with the device and to avoid any third party software conflict.

Connecting to external monitor

I just upgraded to Windows 10, but am unable to connect my Lenovo X1 Carbon to an external monitor (tried two separate monitors). Before it would automatically detect the monitor, now it only has 1 listed when I go into Settings / Display. I found the "Windows
button + P" option online, but when I highlight Duplicate or Extend I am unable to "select" or "enter" them.

How can I make Windows detect my external monitor? (I am using the same cord that has always worked to connect my monitor before.) Thanks!
