    Asus Zenbook no audio from internal speakers


    Ever since installing a Windows update about a year ago on my ASUS Zenbook UM433I I have had constant issues with no sound coming from the internal speakers. Sound works fine through plugging in headphones, Bluetooth and HDMI. Sometimes the sound works on the laptop speakers then it will suddenly stop working at all for days or even weeks. It's driving me mad! I have tried reinstalling the Realtek audio drivers multiple times and nothing works. I have also turned off audio enhancements as suggested by people.This time it has already been 10 days since it was last working.

    For further assistance regarding the "unconnected" status of your internal audio speaker, we would like to gather more information:

    • Was the update installed manually or automatically?
    • Did you make any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • What other troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

    Using an ASUS Zenbook 3 and only the front speakers on the bottom of the device work with the RealTek driver.

    I am using an ASUS Zenbook 3. The audio used to work fine on this unit. Now, however, only the front speakers on the bottom of the device work. If I remove the RealTEK driver completely, all speakers work but the audio quality is not as good. Nor can I
    adjust the audio for all speakers, such as the subwoofer. Any thought on a correction for this?

    Hi everyone I need some help !

    Indeed, I have no audio output on my Asus Zenbook 14 oled, I have no sound on my speakers, neither jack nor bluetooth, I tried to reinstall all the audio drivers on the Asus website (Realtek audio etc) nothing works, what's weird is that I don't see realtek appearing in the device manager, and also intel smart sound for oed fails to start. Moreover the realtek audio service is started but not intel(R) audio which fails to start with no event log error.
