At a loss of what to do with this new microsoft update

    Hey all,

First time posting, but I have literally tried every possible fix I've been able to find online and nothing works.

Ever since update 1903 I have been having a lot of problems with my computer. When I updated, it caused a bunch of driver problems mainly affecting my graphics card (radeon rx570).

    1. Originally I just reverted system via restore to previous point, but when I turned off and disabled Microsoft update in services, it keep automatically coming on and eventually would update my CPU while I wasn't paying attention, until one day poof I have no more system restore point to go back to, and am getting

    2. Once my restore points were gone and I couldn't rollback to previous version (sometype of error) I started trying to fix the driver issue.

    a. I tried but couldn't roll back my drivers, apparently the old ones were removed.

    b. It wouldnt let me install new ones saying the registry database was corrupted.

    c. Went on a tangent trying to fix registry database, sfc dism all that and got error messages on everything I did in command prompt.

    d. tried a bunch of Microsoft troubleshooting tools, all failed.

    e. finally tried to uninstall graphics card and all software and reinstall with new software/driver but now graphics card is no longer even being detected.

    3. Basically said f it all, will just save my files and then nuke the entire os.

    a. system backup doesn't work, okay ill put my files on a usb and just keep those.

    b. system reset fails (a problem occurred no changes were made)

    c. clean reinstall from windows media tool fails. (a problem occurred no changes were made)

    d. considering pulling out my ssd and just smashing it.

If you've read this far thanks, and if you have any ideas for me to try I'd greatly appreciate it. this is just some of the stuff ive tried, ive been at it for 3 days now with no luck and have tried countless online guides/tutorials.

probably screwed my computer up at this point.

    :)

Intel E5200 Gets Updated, R0 Stepping Coming Up

Intel's Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processor is getting on course for a specifications update. The chip will feature in a new, improved Wolfdale-2M core, spec'd out as the R0 stepping, from its current M0 stepping. The new stepping is intended to add new instructions, power-management features, and bring about changes in the chip-package. A short list of known changes is as follows:
    • CPUID changed from 10677 to 1067A
    • Power State Indicator (PSI) support with Intel 4 series chipsets
    • New instructions - XSAVE and XRSTOR
    • New S-spec and MM numbers
    • New halide-free chip package
Due to the changed CPUID, users may require BIOS updates to detect the CPU. According to the company, E5200 R0 should be out by April 13.

At a loss of what to do with this new microsoft update

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond At a loss of what to do with this new microsoft update :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
