Windows 10: At My Wit's End - 100% Disk

    At My Wit's End - 100% Disk


    I have been working at this for over 2 weeks. I have followed every 100% disk full remedy I could locate.


    1. The machine doesn't have superfetch

    2. All drives are updated

    3. Performed disk check

    4. Temporarily disabled virus protection

    5. I performed a full system refresh without saving files and/or apps

    6. Performed a disk defrag


    Every time I open the laptop the System, Antimalware Service, and other tasks have this thing maxed out. AND, every day there are between 5 and 10 system updates to be performed, which with no available disk takes HOURS.


    I am left wondering if the drive is just failing...


    Open to any and all suggestions!

    100% disk usage on Windows 10

    I have been having 100% disk usage off and on for several months. I have tried all steps from every suggestion I can find and nothing resolves the issue. I finally reset to a fresh install of Windows (wiping out all of my files and programs). Here I am
    with nothing on this computer, two programs open (Task Manager and Chrome), bouncing between 22-100% disk usage. Please help! I'm at my wits end! I have a Intel Core i7-7500 CPU @ 2.75 GHz, 2tb hard drive and 16 GB RAM

    Clean install, disk usage at 100%

    I've seen that article. and I am in fact not running that driver. I followed the steps and it does not appear in the list.

    At my wits end with IPv4 connection issue.... HELP!

    I suggest setting the DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 (Cloudflare)
