Windows 10: At this moment this PC is being by a hack. virus or something.

Suddenly this PC seems to be taken over by some weird hack or something. It purports to be from MSN.com and demands that I phone an unknown number and to respond to included links. In other instances of such an occurrence I simply shut down the PC and waited a few hours to restart, when it worked ok again. This time I've tried to turn shut down pc/turn web pages off/delete/close the Hack or whatever it is, but cannot get rid of it anyway. I do not respond to anything on these pages, but would like to make it go away. I am using the PC with that hack thing running constantly in the background.


Can anyone please help me by sending advice that Ia novice can complete. I'm very old senior citzen.

Did you scan with Adwcleaner and the Emsisoft Emergency Kit?

Did you follow all of the suggested steps in How to remove SafeSearch.net & SafeSearch Search (Mac & Windows) to include scanning
with Zemana, Malwarebytes and if necessary with Hitman Pro?

The scanners that have been recommended should work on "Safesearch" hijacker and also on "some other virus."

Did you reset your browsers as suggested in my previous post?

If you do not wish to use the independent scanners (listed above) that I use when removing adware and PUPS from computers and you do not want to reset your browsers then you may want to reset your computer. Before considering this option suggest you

OS X Leopard Hacked for Intel PCs

Just one day after its release, Apple’s new OS X Leopard has already been hacked to work on standard Intel-based computers. Admittedly it isn’t guaranteed to work 100% yet, and is more than likely illegal in some way, but all you need to give it a try is a patched DVD image, a zip file with a patch and a USB flash drive. After that you’re just three easy steps away from running the new operating system on your Intel PC (SSE3 and later) but unfortunately there’s no AMD support available yet. I was hoping someone could give me a list of step by step instructions you use as a guide to clean virus, malware...etc. so I can keep my PC clean if it gets infected.
