  1. Atmos speakers not firing- windows 10

Hey there! I have a Marantz 5010. I am trying to get Dolby Atmos to configure to my 7.1 setup again it worked %100 for two days but stopped after my son downloaded Fortnite and accidentally chose headphones for output. I have 4 M & K s-125, a 750thx for center, a v-75 and Yamaha 480's for the Atmos effect in my celling.

When I try to configure my speakers in windows 10 I have a Aurora 10 with Ryzen 3950 and 2080ti the output to all speakers works great except for when I chose "SL" or "SR" surround left right side/top- the Yamaha's do not fire, the s-125 the "RL" fire instead. When I unhook the "RL" speakers s-125's from the back of the 5010 the Yamaha's will fire but only at about %10 of what should be the correct loudness/decibel level. They also fire when I select "RL" even thought they are not hooked up to that channel. The tones are correct in terms of the actual sound that's played they are just very, very quiet.

When I do a "Tone Test" on the 5010 it works flawlessly, so the receiver seems to be working great on its own.

the troubleshooting I have done was
    1. Restored my computer to the save point before I downloaded Fortnite.
    2. deleted and then reinstalled all drivers for everything nvidia, alienware etc
    3. Restored my computer to factory settings as it was out of the box

so obviously none of this worked. I'm a %100 disabled veteran so I am on a fixed income but at this point I am willing to pay someone to help me. I was just on the phone with Dell for about 4 hours today and they couldn't figure it out.

    thank you for your opinions!

    :)

    Dolby ATMOS and Realtek HCL3661

    Hi Rick,

Windows 10’s Creators Update added support for Dolby Atmos positional sound. This includes two things: Support for Dolby Atmos hardware and virtual Dolby Atmos sound that works in any pair of headphones. This feature requires Dolby Atmos-enabled hardware,
    notably a Dolby Atmos-enabled receiver.

We are not particular with the Pioneer SC-LX501 receiver but to use Atmos, you need a 5.1.2 (two Atmos speakers) system. If you don't have specific Atmos speakers that are upward firing or ceiling mounted speakers you can't do Atmos. Make sure you have the
receiver set up for 5.1 and set the PC to that as well until you get additional speakers. Ceiling mount speakers will work better than the upward firing type of Atmos speaker.

If you have not yet done so, download the
    Dolby Access app
from the Windows Store and launch it. The app will guide you through setting this up. If you have Dolby Atmos receiver you want to use with your PC, select
With my home theater. If you select a home theater PC, you’ll be given a link to enable the
Dolby Atmos for home theater option in the Windows Sound settings control panel. After you do, the app will prompt you to calibrate your system.

If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to post a reply.

here is how it should work from Windows 10

1 . buy a good Dolby Atmos Reciver
2 .buy a good setup of at least 5.1.2 Atmos certified speakers or upgrade existing 5.1 by buying and adding only ATMOS speakers
    3. have an optical OUT from your PC
    4. buy license DOLBY ATMOS FOR HOME THEATER over MICROSOFT market
    5. connect your PC using Optical cable with your Receiver
    6. Enjoy
