Attachment Manager workaround for downloading virus detected files didn't work

I wanted to download a .zip file which Chrome detected as virus by the Windows Attachment Manager, so I took a look to a workaround to download the file, I did all the steps:

I went to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Attachments" and I modified the "ScanWithAntiVirus" setting the key value to "1" as in the guide; then I logged out from my session for the changes to take effect, then I tried to download the file, but it's still detected as virus.

What should I do at this point? Did I miss any steps?

    :)

    Hello Allan,

To attach a document file on an email, you can follow the step given below:

    For Windows 10 Mobile:

    • Launch to File Explorer app.
    • Press and hold the file that you need to attach on the email, and select
      Share
      button.
    • Select Outlook Mail on the suggested applications.

    For Windows Phone 8.1:

    • Download and install
      Files
      app.
    • Launch Files app.
    • Tap and hold the document that you need to attach on the email, and select
      Share
      button.
    • Select the Mail app on the suggested applications.

Feel free to post back if you have other queries.

I didn`t try system restore. How can I try it ?
