Windows 10: Attempted Windows 10 Reset. Reset failed at 62% multiple times. Now computer is stuck in...

Help.

I was attempted to clean out my extra laptop HP to give to a family member, so I selected the reset option to clear out my files and everything, since I'd already saved them to my regular laptop.

The reset got stuck at 62% about 3 times and gave me the option screen to return to windows 10, which I selected after 3 failed attempts. After that, it is now repeatedly trying to boot, but not getting past the hp logo screen, and then turns off and tries again with the hp logo boot screen.

A perfectly good laptop is in ruins in a matter of seconds because it was supposed to be easier to reset than try to select every personal item and delete them.

Windows 10 always resets my Time

Is your time zone set correctly in the OS? The OS has the ability to change the CMOS clock, so if you didn't setup your Windows Time correctly, then it is defaulted to Pacific Standard Time. It could also be a CMOS battery issue...but usually your time AND date will reset...so you'll see 12:00, January 1, 1979 or similar if the clock is resetting from a bad CMOS. If you shut your PC down, unplug it from the wall for say like 10 minutes, then plug back in and boot into BIOS, is your time/date wrong?

Every time I restart or go into Linux then back to Windows it always resets and I have to update it via Internet. Why?
