Discus and support Attempting install of Safety Scanner results in Message saying The app you're trying to... in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; Is this normal ?     Attempting install of Safety Scanner results in Message saying The app you're trying to...


    Is this normal ? Please feel free to move this question to the appropriate location if this isn't it? I did find a post from Dec. 25th 2012 where a user was describing somewhat of a similar situation' except on Win 7 and an invalid signature claim though' Unlike that user my situation didn't change by doing another download of the scanner. I have a Win 10 Home 64 bit system on my machine in question, And it came from the store with it installed already. I'm trying to make sure win defender really got rid of some trojans it recently detected on my system. And would like to see what Microsoft's safety scanner say's.

    Issue when installing Safety Scanner

    Are you facing this issue when you attempt to install any execution application?

    This happens if you set your settings to show this message for everything attempt to be install from outside store and Safety Scanner is not UWP app and it is for all non-UWP or non-Store app.

    You could go ahead and install it or you could change setting so don't show this again.

    Safety scanner download error

    In trying to download the safety scanner an error message popped up explaining that it could not be saved because the source file could not be read. Any suggestions as to why?
