Windows 10: Attempting to Fix/Connect To Access Point; Working now, but not enough

As of this Post I'm attempting to connect and gain full non-restrictive access to the internet services of this facility, (something that as of this writing, was as easy as to plug in the Ethernet cable to an active jack.) However, as much as a lucky guess I've been able to do so far, the computer still marks the connection down as "Network; No internet Access." This may in part be due to the whole way the network here may have been set up, with the whole sign in with your ID in order to continue Schtick. It would explain how I'm able to type as I can now but still can't launch either a VPN/program that may require internet access. It is not that the network here is complicated, it is more closer to the fact that I'm in lacking the knowledge to know what is specifically happening, the terms for the network structure itself, all that jazz. One thing that's prominent is the Certificate Errors that appear when attempting to jump to a page like google. Strangely enough, I popped into this site without any Certification Navigations, and I need to figure out how to get this "Proxy" auto configured to match on other models here and attempt to build off of that. I'm sure it is the login prompt that prevents applications that are used to connect to the internet without any halts that gives these browsers issues for even connecting to the simplest of public sites. Even Internet Explorer 11 being capable to allow me to write this all down is still clouded with these certificate errors that makes it particularly annoying to browse in.

So Yeah any help into either solving/researching this would be great thanks.

N8 - MMS access point issues

I'm afraid I can't offer any more ideas about the last post, but it was with some relief that I eventually stumbled upon an apparent solution for my original problem...



"How can I stop the N8 from trying to connect to this access point every 60 seconds, without disabling network data completely?"



It occured to me a couple of weeks ago that if the problem was an incorrect, hidden, automatically configured MMS access point then perhaps I could perturb it by swapping my Vodafone SIM for an O2 one.



So, with the Vodafone SIM, I was seeing the strange attempts to connect to the wrong Vodafone MMS access point. I swapped it for an O2 SIM and these attempts stopped (and weren't replaced by any attempts to connect to O2). I put my Vodafone SIM back in and
(fingers crossed) I haven't seen any sign of the attempts to connect to the Vodafone MMS access point - neither in the connection status icon nor the connection log.



Both MMS and data connections are now working fine for me, albeit with manually configured definitions for the Vodafone PP access points.

I think I may have discovered a sort of fix - I need more time to try it, but it has worked each time so far.

This only works with applications that allow the "Always Ask" option for the connection point. I find that if I access the web browser, when the prompt for connecting appears I wait by counting to 5 in my head, then I hit the access point I want to use. Voila,
it connects and stays connected.

I'm beginning to think now that a process in the background isn't waking up quickly enough and therefore makes the phone fail to connect. Do it too quickly enough times and the phone then begins to lock up.

Like I said, I haven't tried it extensively, just the few times I've been at home to give it a quick go, so I could still be wrong.
