Windows 10: Attempting to print always causes my PC to freeze.

Whenever I try to print something, whether it be on microsoft edge, google chrome, or another application, my computer always freezes. I have to wait two or more minutes for it to unfreeze and allow me to print. I've tried many different solutions I've seen online and none of them have worked.

Method 2: Uninstall unnecessary printers

Having two or more printers installed can cause issues with the Print Spooler and printing. Follow the steps below to uninstall any unnecessary printers:

• Press Windows Key + X and select Control Panel from the list.
• When Control Panel opens, locate Devices and Printers.
• In Devices and Printers section select the printer you want to remove and click Print server properties.
• Go to Drivers tab. You should see the list of all installed printers.
• Select the printer you want to remove and click the Remove button.
• Select Remove driver and driver package and click OK to completely remove the printer.
• After removing unnecessary printers, restart your PC.

Print to PDF missing in Printer List

Hi William,

We suggest that you disable and re-enable the Print to PDF feature. Here are the steps:

• Click on the Start menu and type in Windows Features.
• Choose Turn Windows features on or off.
• On the next window, find Microsoft Print to PDF and disable it. Click
  OK to save changes.
• Restart your PC.
• Repeat the same steps to re-enable Microsoft Print to PDF.

Printing to PDF, Report Viewer freezes after Print


Just installed Windows 10, and I am having a problem with the Report Viewer (Print option).

I attempt to print to PDF and the printing option works; however, after the print instruction, the screen freezes.

I click the Exit icon and nothing happened (computer freezes). Also, I click the upper right "X" option and nothing happens.

Is there a patch (or something) for this?
