Windows 10: Attempting to run Windows 11 install from partition in QEMU on Linux gives a lot of issues.

As the title states, I am trying to run my Windows 11 installation from another partition on my drive, on QEMU on Linux.It works perfectly fine when I boot into it directly, but under QEMU it has the following issues: - Only works in safe mode, otherwise it just immediately reboots, not even the little spinning wheel shows. - When I am in safe mode, I can't sign in to my main MS account, I had to use CMD to make a new local account that I could sign in to. - When I sign in to that local account, explorer doesn't start, it just has a black screen, however I can launch CMD to do stuff. - The ses

You misunderstood. I am tying to run QEMU on Win 11 (A Manjaro VM). Not run a Win 11 VM on QEMU.

 

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

It could be due to the hard drive has run out of space. Without sufficient space for logging and IO, the virtual machine may be unable to continue to function.
